We’ll always have 2011 June 21, 2012
Since tonight will likely mark the crowning of a new NBA Championship, or Sunday at the latest, I am experiencing nostalgia for last year’s ride with the Dallas Mavericks.

2011 was so much fun, start-to-finish, and even more-so unexpected. Perhaps that is why my memories are so fresh, because absolutely NO ONE had the Mavs making it past the first-round, much less winning the entire enchilada. Yes, the Mavericks had been a playoff-caliber team for 10+ years but let’s be honest, they were fun to watch but not built to be champs. Style over substance, if you will, esp. after losing in the 2006 Finals. None of this is breaking news but that’ why I still cannot believe the Mavs will forever be 2011 NBA champs.

Yes, I could join-in with the mob in complaining about how this year was such a “cluster” but now it really doesn’t matter. What’s done is done. The band broke-up but they will always have that one-hit wonder. That said, I will NEVER be a fan of the Miami Heat and if they could somehow lose (again) in the Finals it would definitely help assuage my dissatisfaction with the 2012 Mavs season.

Who knows when (or if) the Dallas Mavericks will make it back to the NBA Finals but regardless, I will forever be thankful for 2011 and a MFFL.

GO MAVS!!!

MUST…HAVE…THIS…LAMP!!!
Unfortunately, it’s a one-off sample but DAMN it is cool.

How I feel about the 2012 Presidential “race”.
